Each Sunday the staff at Dawg News Daily rewatches Saturday's game and offers tidbits and views we might not of caught during the live action.

*Brock Bowers continues to show his freak athletic ability. on the 2nd play of the game, he takes a handoff / jet sweep 75 yards for a TD.

*Random thought* Did dawgs think it would be an "easy" game after scoring on 2nd play of the game?

*McConkey looked to lose that punt after focusing a bit on incoming rush. uncharacteristic and unfortunately the start of a forgettable 1st half for him.

*Bright spot for the dawgs is the play of Bear Alexander. Mulitple plays throughout the game in the backfield. Not easy for a true freshman no matter the competition.

*Lassiter/Starks/Smith II all misplayed the WR screen in the 1st half. Lassiter allowed himself to get blocked instead of blowing it up. Receiver tiptoed down sideline while Smith II and Starks took bad angles. Good coaching moment for Muschamp and Staff.

*The Mesh concept seemed to bother the Dawgs. Linebackers seemed indecisive to play run/pass/or QB run. Expect the Florida's and Tennessee's , who have running QB's to add this wrinkle to their gameplan.

* Daijuan Edwards looks to be a trusted back. Edwards ran hard on his 12 carries for 73 yards. Milton looked good as well and got tripped up on multiple runs that looked to be possible TDs.

*Smael Mondon looks to be flying around and in almost every play. He's going to be a good one!

*On Stetson's Int, He missed McConkey open over on the left hash who didnt have a defender within 10 yards of him... Another learning moment.

*Georgia's Special teams needs to be addressed. Punt return seems to be a sore spot for the 2nd week in a row for a trick play. Coach Smart calls these turnovers. Needs to be fixed before facing tougher competition.

* In the 2nd half, Kent State had 12 and 13 play drives for a touchdown and field goal. Majority of these drives were with running it up the middle. A lot of these starters haven't played the 2nd half of the previous 3 games. They'll need to know it takes 4 quarters of football to win games.

* 4 Turnovers (counting fake punt) will keep any team in the game. Here is the adversity that Coach Smart mentioned the team needed. Unfortunately, the adversity was self-inflicted

*Jack Podlesney looks to be on point. Was needed more than thought this game. 2 stall outs in the redzone is a cause for concern but always good to walkaway with points.

*AD Mitchel is a missed target on the outside. High ankle sprains aren't easy to comeback from... Is he ready for the trip to Columbia?
