Bulldogs Head to SEC Media Days with a New Title

Athens, GA - It'll be 27 weeks since the Bulldogs won the National Championship next week when SEC Media begins. Kirby Smart and company roll into Atlanta as reigning national champs for the 1st time in 41 years. A title the Bulldogs have not had going into SEC Media days with before. But as in years past, they wont be considered the favorite for the 2022-23 season. That belongs to last years runner up, Alabama. But now the questions begin for the Bulldogs. Can you do it again? If so, When? If so, with Who?

Georgia Bulldogs will be represented by quarterback Stetson Bennett, outside linebacker Nolan Smith and center Sedrick Van Pran. Georgia is set to speak on Wednesday, as head coach Kirby Smart will join his players in meeting with the media and answering the abundance of questions that come with these media days. All UGA players that were selected to attend media days are expected to be key leaders for Georgia in this coming season. Bennett led the Bulldogs to a National Championship last season and returns for his sixth season at Georgia.

Nolan Smith is one of the few returning members from Georgia’s legendary 2021 defense, as Smith started every game for Georgia last season. He is one of the more vocal members on the team and someone who should help ease concerns on the returning defense that lost 5 members in the 1st round of the NFL draft.

Van Pran is entering his second season as a starter at the center position for the Bulldogs. He started every game a season ago for Georgia and is expected to be the anchor on one of the better offensive lines in the country this season.
