Bulldogs Included on Coaches, AP, ALL-SEC Football Team

ATHENS, Ga. --- A total of eight Bulldog football players have been included on the Coaches and Associated Press All-Southeastern Conference First and Second Teams, according to recent league and AP announcements.
Sophomore left tackle Andrew Thomas, senior center Lamont Gaillard and senior defensive back Deandre Baker were included on the Coaches All-SEC First Team while sophomore tailback D’Andre Swift, senior defensive lineman Jonathan Ledbetter, junior place-kicker Rodrigo Blankenship and junior receiver/returner Mecole Hardman were part of the Second Team.
Baker was also a First Team selection on the AP All-SEC squad while Thomas, Gaillard, Swift, Blankenship, Hardman (All-Purpose) and senior outside linebacker D’Andre Walker made up part of the Second Team.
The SEC will announce its individual awards on Wednesday and its Freshman All-SEC Team on Thursday.
The No. 5 Bulldogs (11-2) will take on No. 15 Texas (9-4) in the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, La., on Jan. 1 at 8:45 p.m. ET. ESPN will televise the fifth all-time game between the programs and the first matchup between the teams since 1984.
