DAWG NEWS DAILY'S 2018 PREDICTIONS

Updated: Dec 10, 2018

The UGA program is in a position they haven't been in for almost 10 years. The Bulldogs are coming off a 13-2 record and a #2 final ranking in 2017. The bulldogs are ranked #4 in the preseason coaches poll. In 2017, the Bulldogs ranked in the preseason poll at #18. Not sure many expected a national championship run with last year's squad but with back to back top recruiting classes, Georgia's expectations are at a championship or bust level! UGA loses a lot from the 2017 squad, including 2 of the top 3 all time leading rushers in school history along with a total of 6 NFL draft picks.

Talent is plenty in Athens, but there is a lot of youth as well. The Offense looks to be the strength of the team in the preseason with what all is returning. The defensive side of the ball is young, but has a some upperclassmen in key positions to help balance out the inexperience. The young Dawgs will need to grow up quick as they have a tough road test the 2nd week of the season at South Carolina. The schedule is very manageable and could possibly hurt the Bulldogs if it comes down to comparisons at the end of the year.

Below we take a stab at Georgia's record, some personal stats on the offensive side of the ball and where the Bulldogs end up at the end of the year!
