Dawg News Daily's 2021 Season Predictions

What A Difference A Year Makes!!!
This time last season Georgia was entering a season with a ton of question marks. D'wan Mathis was the Dawgs starting QB and the Dawgs didn't have an offseason to work with New OC Todd Monken due to Covid-19 protocols put in place.
365 days later-
Offensive Coordinator Todd Monken has now had an entire offseason to install his offensive system and JT Daniels has supplanted his position at Quarterback after throwing for over 1,200 yards and 10 TDs in the final 4 games of last season. Daniels looks to be a Heisman Trophy candidate entering the season. So for the first time in the Kirby Smart Era, The Offense may be the better side of the ball for the Dawgs.
It looks to be Running back by committee for the Dawgs heading into 2021.
Junior Zamir White led the Bulldogs in 2020 with 779 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns. White will probably assume the "starting" role but other backs plan to factor into the offensive attack.
Senior James Cook and Junior Kenny McIntosh plan to be apart of the attack as well and can hurt opponents through the air as well.
Sophomore Kendall Milton is a rising star and a fan favorite. Milton looks to be a mix of all the running backs put into one. His tough running style mixed with twitch & speed. Milton could become the lead back by seasons end.
The offseason injury to George Pickens certainly is a hit to the receiving core, but JT Daniels will have a ton of talent to throw the ball too. Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint, Kearis Jackson, and Jermaine Burton will be the probable starters for the season opener. Jackson led the bulldogs last season with 500+ yards. Plan on Arik Gilbert, Darnell Washington, and freshman Adonai Mitchell to be key targets as well.
The Georgia offensive line has developed into a key asset that is expected to carry over for 2021. Still there will be three-four new starters and they will need time, talented as they are. Smart has emphasized strong O-line play with considerable success.
Below we take a stab at Georgia's record, some personal stats on the offensive side of the ball and where the Bulldogs end up at the end of the year!

GEORGIA BULLDOGS SCHEDULE/SCORE PREDICTION

*With the injury bug hitting the Bulldogs right before the season, UGA isn't walking into the season opener with all hands on deck. Clemson seems to be all systems go. The matchup of Clemson wide receivers versus the inexperienced UGA defensive backs will be a key factor in the outcome. The Clemson game seems to looms large as it has national championship implications. It may be the only game the Dawgs will not be favored in the entire season. If the Dawgs can get healthy and navigate their way through a lackluster rest of the season, expect the Dawgs to be back in Atlanta for the SEC Championship.
