Athens, GA- The Back to Back National Champions return this season to make History. You see, "Make History" has been their theme this camp. Be the first team to 3-peat ever in College Football. Sure you can go back before the 1960's and claim there have been others but none in this era. Coach Smart doesn't believe this is most talented team, but he does believe in the leadership and connection of this team. The schedule and yes there is talent all lines up for the Dawgs to make another run!
Although the Dawgs had 10 players selected in this springs NFL Draft, Talent is still a plenty in Athens but there is a lot of youth as well. The Offense looks to be the strength of the team in the preseason with what all is returning. The defensive side of the ball is young, but has a some upperclassmen in key positions to help balance out the inexperience. The schedule is very manageable and could possibly hurt the Bulldogs if it comes down to comparisons at the end of the year.
