Each Sunday the staff at Dawg News Daily rewatches Saturday's game and offers tidbits and views we might not of caught during the live action.

Solomon Kindley ended up being the starting Left Guard on the offensive line. Kendall Baker, Kindley, Sayler, and Trey Hill have all been battling for this spot. Expect to see some fluidity at this spot.

A total of 17 true freshman played in the season opener along with 7 redshirt freshman.

James Cook showed of his speed in a few runs and a catch out of the backfield. Unfortunately, The bulldogs will be without Cook in the 1st half of next week's game against South Carolina due to a targeting call on a punt return.

Austin Peay and UGA decided to cut the 4th qtr to a 10 minute period due to the score (45-0) and the number of injuries Austin Peay was accruing.

D'Andre Swift looked good running the ball. Had a couple electric runs and catches in the 1st quarter.

Herrien had a nice catch and run in the 1st qtr. Put a spin move on a defender which gained him around 10 more yards and also earned him some oohs and ahhs from the crowd.

Riley Ridley scored the 1st Bulldog touchdown of the 2018 season. Ridley accounted for 3 catches for 33 yards and a touchdown.

D'andre Walker secured the 1st turnover on the year after a bad pitch from the Austin Peay QB. The savage pads are returned to the sidelines and it looks like there is an addition of an over-sized dawgbone for the players to carry after securing a turnover.

Justin Fields made his UGA debut early in the 2nd qtr. Fields looked solid in his time on the field. He finished with 7/8 for 63 yards and a touchdown.

Demetris Robertson saw his time early in the 2nd qtr as well. On the 3rd play of the series, Fields handed off to Robertson for a quick jet sweep that DRob took 72 yards for a touchdown. Great wide receiver blocking on the play!

Tons of weapons on offense and Chaney is using them all. Tyler Simmons (was onsides) had a nice 32 yard run but was negated due to a hands to the face blocking call.

UGA dressed 105 players on Saturday and played a total of 82 players. To put it in perspective, that's more than they played all of 2017.

Smart said Fields played with a sprained ankle on Saturday but he didn't show any ill effects.

Elijah Holyfield showed his strength and speed in his 17 yard touchdown run. broke a few tackles and had 2 cut backs to find the endzone.

Mecole Hardman is fast... That is all! Split 2 defenders for a 59 yard touchdown and neither could catch him.

Monty Rice has great sideline to sideline speed. Showed it on multiple run plays in the 1st half.

UGA accumulated 362 yards of offense in the 1st half and a total of 508 yards for the game.
