Demetris Robertson Joins the Bulldogs!

2 years ago, Kirby Smart had just become the Georgia Bulldogs head coach and was looking to hold on to a strong recruiting class his predecessor had started. There were a few big time recruits still dangling out there... One was named Demetris Robertson.

Robertson ultimately chose California and had a very successful freshman year (50 catches for 700+yards). An injury limited Robertson's playing time to 2 games his sophomore season. He decided to transfer a few weeks ago and was looking to play closer to home in Savannah, Georgia.

Robertson chose the Bulldogs over Alabama, Texas, and West Virginia. “This was way harder than anyone can imagine,” Robertson wrote on Twitter. At 6-0, 185 lbs Robertson is a similar build to both Godwin and Hardman. The question is will he be able to see the field with both of them this fall?

Under NCAA rules, Robertson is expected, at least at this time, to sit out the 2018 season. Robertson is also expected to apply for a hardship waiver with the hope of earning immediate eligibility for this season.

One thing is for sure, Kirby Smart, Jim Chaney, and The Bulldog offensecan wait to get him on the field!
