Athens,GA- With the absence of WR/TE Arik Gilbert and injury to TE Darnell Washington, The Georgia Bulldog coaches are certainly looking for someone to step up and fill these roles until the Bulldogs can get back healthy.

One name that continues to be mentioned by fellow players and coaches is Tight End Brock Bowers.

Ranked as the nation's No. 105 overall prospect and No. 3 tight end in the 2021 class by 247Sports, the tight end from California is not built like your typical tight end.

At 6-foot-4 240 pounds by Georgia, he's more of a "flex" tight end who can play on and off the line of scrimmage. He can play wideout, slot, or lineup with the line in the typical tight end set. Attributes that Offensive Coordinator Todd Monken loves to scheme for!

Offensive coordinator Todd Monken talked recently about Bowers’ versatility.

“You can hand the ball to him if you want to,” Monken said. “In his high school film, he played some fullback, in terms of route running. He's another guy that's a really diligent worker, he'll run himself into the ground with how hard he works, runs and competes.”

Fellow teammate Running back Kendall Milton spoke highly of Bowers as well...

“He’s a freak. Just seeing him when he first got here, he’s like 6-foot-3 and fully built. He’s one of those dudes who can really do it all,” Milton said. “He has crazy explosion; he’s crazy fast and super strong. The potential he has makes me excited, because being from Cali like me and seeing him in a program like this, he’s going to make a big impact at Georgia.”
