Season Opener Could be a "Color-Rush" Theme for Both Georgia/Clemson

There was a social media buzz over the weekend that both the University of Georgia and Clemson would wear "Color-Rush" themed uniforms for their September 4th season-opener. Georgia would don the All-Red Uniforms, while Clemson wore All-Purple.

Photos of recruits in the all-red uniforms from Georgia began popping up online earlier in the summer while recruits were taking their on-campus visits to Athens. These pictures began the speculation that Georgia could wear the All-Red combo sometime in the 2021 season.

Recruit Julian Humphrey was on e of the first recruits to post online wearing the All-Red Uniform

During the Buck Belue Show on 680 the fan Monday, Buck Belue said the Dawgs could be wearing the all-red combo for the first time under Kirby Smart when they travel to Charlotte to take on the Clemson Tigers.

Belue also said all the talk on campus this weekend was about the uniforms for the big game against Clemson game and that Nike wanted to capitalize off the attention of the game. Simulating the equivalent of the NFL "Color-Rush" uniforms that Nike has seen success with in the NFL.

This is the first media report on the uniform situation for the season opener and Belue is as close the program as anyone. Many loved the 40 year anniversary tribute uniforms remembering the 1980 championship team the Dawgs wore in the 2020 Opener against Arkansas. What are your thoughts Dawg Fans?
