UGA lands 12 players on the Pre-season ALL-SEC teams

At the conclusion of the SEC Media days this week, The media submits their picks for ALL-SEC honors along with their predictions for the 2018 season. Georgia had 12 players earn the pre-season ALL SEC honors with Safety JR Reed, Kicker Rodrigo Blankenship, and DB Deandre Baker earning 1st team.

Blankenship and Baker are probably going to get some consideration for pre-season All-American teams as they had strong 2017 seasons and look to be the cream of the crop at their positions. A total of 7 Bulldogs landed on the ALL-SEC 2nd team with DeAndre Swift leading the way for 5 players on Offensive side.

The 3rd team has an appearance from 1 Bulldog, but maybe the most important of them all. Jake Fromm carries his success from 2017 into a 3rd team selection tying with Miss state's Nick Fitzgerald. Knowing Fromm, he will carry this into Fall camp and the season to prove he's worthy of top honors!

Specialists include the previously mentioned Kicker Rodrigo Blankenship and on 2nd team Mecole Hardman as a returner. Hardman showed his talents as a returner several times in 2017 and was just a few steps away from breaking big returns into touchdowns. Don't be surprised to see Mecole wind up a little higher on this list.
