WHY DO UGA FANS THINK NICK CHUBB & SONY MICHEL ARE REPLACEABLE?
How does UGA replace an FBS-record 8,382 combined career rushing yards? Kirby Smart and staff are out to prove #RBU is here to stay!

RECRUIT, RECRUIT, RECRUIT
“Georgia is doing things on a different level. My Goodness!” - ESPN'S Anthony (Booger) Mcfarland
Kirby Smart made it clear to compete consistently at a high level you need to be dominate on the Offensive and Defensive line! Coach Sam Pittman and company have reeled in 12 Offensive linemen since arriving to Athens in Dec. 2015. Going into 2018, several publications are ranking UGA's OL as the #2 unit in America. Dell Mcgee (RB Coach) and Rivals Recruiter of the year in 2018, brought in all of UGA's RB current depth chart. Partnering the Offensive line with the 5 headed monster at tailback and that's enough to get fans drooling.
Runnnig Backs-
D'Andre Swift - Swift showed he was the next in line in the #RBU alumni as a freshman last season. He rushed for 618 yards and 3 touchdown with an average of 7.6 yards per carry. Swift had several dazzling runs during the year, but none bigger than his game-clinching 64-yard touchdown run in the SEC Championship Game. With the majority of the carries coming his way in 2018, Swift is poised for a big year that could lead to some possible Heisman buzz.
Elijah Holyfield- Holyfield looks to be the "Thunder" to Swift's "Lightening". Holyfield saw limited carries in '17 (mostly in mop-up duty), but looked good when doing so. He finished the season with 293 yards and 2 touchdown on 5.9 yards per carry. The # 2 back role should come with a hefty number of carries but he'll have to fend of the others.
Brian Herrien- Herrien rushed for 363 yards and 3 touchdowns as a freshman, but that production was cut to 265 yards and 1 touchdown last year. He's a very talented back, but he will have to use the fall to show his mix of talent and experience can equal more carries while fighting off the incoming freshman.
INCOMING FRESHMAN:
Zamir (Zeus) White: White's High school tapes are drawing him comparisons to a former North Carolina Tailback cough-cough Todd Gurley. A knee injury at the end of his senior year of high school was a setback in his possible shot at a starting spot in 2018. He's an early enrollee, which helped the UGA training staff track his rehab efforts. He was limited during spring practice, and it’s currently unknown if White will be ready to play when the season kicks off. This is one player that will take full potential of the new redshirt rule. Expect Zeus to see the field but only when he is ready. He has the talents to be the best of the bunch!
James Cook: With the hype of National Championship run last season and the accolades of the #1 recruiting class, Cook has somewhat become lost in the talk. An All-purpose back, (which means he can catch the ball too) He has the potential to be a star in his own right. He also has the pedigree. Don't's be surprised to see either White or Cook or both will earn a lot of carries as a freshman. These freshman have the potential to be hailed like a similar duo who just entered the NFL!

Convinced yet?
With the mix of talent and Chaney's run 1st and run often offense, expect this group of backs and Offensive line to give the fans every chance to be right about the bright bright future in UGA's backfield!
